Omaha Science Cafe - "The Science and Art behind Neurofibromatosis"

Join UNMC's Sean McGarry, M.D. and Rachel Mindrup (www.https://www.facebook.com/ManyFacesNF) as they both present "The Science and Art behind Neurofibromatosis."

Dr. McGarry will cover the background on this disease, what it is, how one can get it, treatments, history, and what we know now. Rachel will follow with a brief showing and discussion of her artwork of people with Neurofibromatosis.

Science Cafés involve a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. They are open to everyone (21 and older), and take place in casual settings like pubs and coffeehouses.
Each meeting is organized around an interesting topic of conversation. A scientist gives a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period.

Pizza will be provided by The Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures for the first 50 people.
